    Origins

I was first exposed to the concept for this game in the early 80s when I played the Nintendo Game & Watch "Fire" game. Here's a picture of what it looked like.

    The Amiga Years

Years later, I started a version using Blitz Basic on my Amiga 500. Here's a screenshot from that version. I'm not really sure why it's so orange, it may be an issue with the emulator.

Although it is extremely painful to read, I've included the Amiga Blitz Basic source for your amusement. I guess I learned more than I thought getting my CS degree.

    Babies 2K5!

In 2005, I resurected the Babies project to develop my skills as a game programmer. It is a nice simple game where the design wouldn't get in the way of what I wanted to achieve with it, which was to building a game using Win32, DirectX and C++.

    Early Prototype

This is the first version that could vaguely be called a game. One "baby," represented here by an arrow bounced off of the tiger's behind into a tiger-skinned box.

Throwing the Firemen out with the Baby

Due to a minor model exporting error, this version has the firemen bouncing along with the babies. And get a load of those textures, courtesy of Google Images.
